Lakewood Common is a mixed-use hub, anchored by welcoming public space, in of one of Cleveland’s most iconic, beloved, historic boroughs. With a large public plaza, retail, and community programming, Lakewood Common was designed to drive new energy and community connection in the heart of downtown Lakewood.
We built a brand that signals “for everyone” while still feeling elevated and intentional: a gathering place you’re proud to bring friends, kids, and pups. The welcoming yet elevated design system is anchored by a mark that’s a clear nod to Lakewood and the project’s ample green space. Sixth Element also provided directional messaging and creative direction to help developer CASTO bring the brand to life across all touchpoints—from signage to web, social, and more.

We shaped a brand system that feels iconic and approachable, built to show up beautifully across signage, digital, and the physical environment.
The logomark is a modern, monoline, stylized tree rising out of waves of water to literally represent Lakewood (lake+wood). It also captures key differentiators of the project (green space and lake proximity). Differentiated logotype is highly distinct, yet soft, friendly, and warm. The brand color palette aligns seamlessly with the interior design direction and selections from the project architects, Dimit. Yet it’s tailored to support the demands all print and digital applications and ensure flexibility across all touchpoints.
